What an affiliate link is
When I link to a product, that link sometimes carries a code identifying this site as the source of the visit. If you buy after clicking it, the seller pays this site a percentage of the sale. You pay the standard price. Affiliate links never add anything to your cost, and using one is never a condition of reading anything here.
Which links are affiliate links
Not all of them. On any page carrying at least one, a disclosure appears at the top of the page, before you reach any of them. That placement is not a courtesy — under the FTC’s Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) a material connection has to be disclosed clearly and conspicuously, and before the endorsement it qualifies.
Affiliate links on this site are routed through addresses beginning worthorskip.com/go/ and are marked in the page source with rel="sponsored", which is the tag search engines use to identify a paid relationship. Plain editorial links — to documentation, to a vendor’s pricing page, to a source I am citing — are not routed that way and earn nothing.
What the money does not buy
- No vendor pays for a verdict. Not a positive one, not a mention, not a position in a comparison table.
- No vendor sees a review before it publishes.
- Commission rate does not affect ranking. Where a review lists alternatives, the order reflects which product suits which buyer, not which pays best. If the highest-paying option is also the one I recommend, the review says so explicitly.
- Products that pay us still get SKIP. This is the test that matters, and it is checkable.
Free products, trials, and gifts
Where a product, trial, or extended access is provided at no cost, that fact is disclosed inside the specific review it produced, by name, near the top — not only on this page. A blanket statement here does not cover an individual review: the disclosure has to be where the reader will actually see it.
Sponsored content
There is none. If that ever changes, such content will be labelled SPONSORED in the page title and at the top of the page, will be excluded from verdict coverage, and this section will be rewritten to say so.
Advertising pages
Pages under /lp/ are advertising destinations for paid campaigns. They are labelled ADVERTISEMENT at the top, carry the same disclosure, and are excluded from search indexing. They are not reviews and do not carry verdicts.
